Ric Flair ALWAYS has a great story involving Cena. Always, and he doesn’t care if anyone starts booing, he basically just tells them to shut up, because they don’t know. And that only makes me love Flair more. The legends ADORE John Cena and it’s no secret why. The man is amazing. And if memory serves, Arn Anderson called him one of the greatest human beings he’s ever known. So take THAT haters. Arn fucking Anderson.
Shawn and Hunter..always comedy. HBK just makes me giggle. Giggle.
And Christian/Edge…SIGH. I fully expected to boo-hoo sob the entire time, but thankfully both guys kept things fairly lighthearted and plenty humorous. Although when Christian said WHY Edge had always been so determined to make it, to take care of his mom? Lost it! Just heart-warming all around. Shout-outs to his “kids” Ryder and Hawkins, too just made my little heart swell. So much love.
My WrestleMania Part II - WWE Hall of Fame 2012 x1
The HOF is always one of my favorite parts of WM weekend. Not just to see who’s going into the hall, but for wrestler spying! It’s always fun to see them interacting when they don’t think anyone’s looking. (Randy and Punk I’m looking at you this year).
This year was fantastic as I not only got to see EDGE, but a personal favorite in Ric Flair get a SECOND ring. #FollowThat As a bonus to that, the seating arrangements seemed to be made especially for the fangirl in me as my top 3 fave guys were all seated together, creating some fairly lulzy moments. (Again, thank you Randy, Punk and what would have been Kelly Kelly sitting directly behind them).
It was hard to concentrate on anything other than the corner of wrestlers closest to my own seats, but the speeches made by both Mil Mascaras and Mike Tyson were absolutely HILARIOUS. Unintentionally so I think, too. Nevertheless, certain wrestlers just couldn’t contain their amusement. It was awesome to see. HUGE thanks to my bosom buddy @JCollis87 for upgrading our seats and making it all possible!
My WrestleMania Part I - AXXESS Day 3
So Sunday’s Axxess was supposed to be my big ‘Meet Roddy Piper’ day after Saturday’s debacle of waiting in line for 90 minutes only to NOT be let in. But since Sheamus’ VIP ran over, they had to move Show’s, and canceled the Legends all together. MAJOR MAJOR SAD FACE. I should have known that stupid bike race ruining everything was an omen, but I just wanted to believe. :[ I was really disappointed as I have crazy love for the Rowdy one, but there was a bit of a silver lining.
Christian. I have been a fan of his from the literal moment that he debuted on WWE TV and never had a real chance to meet him until Sunday morning. This moment was 14 years in the making. After telling him this, he asked my name to personalize my autograph, and I nearly forgot it. Couldn’t remember where I was from when he asked me that either, but I managed to go on. I told him that I could remember the exact moment I saw him on TV for the first time and how I fell in love (he smiled), and that I’ve had the same ‘totally reeking of awesomeness’ email since the 10th grade. He loved it. So much so that he leaned over the table to give ME a hug, and I was just over the moon. He was all kinds of fantastic and made the wait totally worth it.
Not too much going on for our last session and no Piper, JGabe or Cody Rhodes had me shuffling around a little bummed, but what can you do right? We stopped to check out some of the FCW action from a few of its divas and it was really pretty good! I had been looking forward to seeing Raquel Diaz while I was there and she definitely didn’t disappoint. The girl has got tons of attitude and charisma and can already work well in the ring. Everything it takes to be a successful diva is obviously in her blood. I loved her. Had never seen Seth Rollins in action before (or the guy he faced), but I kind of dug him, too.
Ended the session with a ‘might as well get in this line’ for Primo, Epico and Rosa -who is beautiful in person, but my god, MUCH much too thin. You are Latina, sweetie. Where are your curves?! Anyway, Primo kept looking at my Ziggler shirt weird as if he couldn’t understand it, Rosa was a sweetheart and Epico really had to pee so wasn’t social at all. And that was kind of that.
My WrestleMania Part I - AXXESS Day 1
Yay Axxess!! Knowing that I would be meeting Dolph Ziggler this day had me excited beyond belief, but I’ll get back to him in a bit. First up was Wade Barrett, who I’ve kind of crushed on since he first opened his mouth on NXT. I’ve got a thing for accents. But Wade is just big, and beautiful and..yeah. He would be my first flirtation of the weekend as I just HAD to tell him what a handsome devil I think he is and how much I just love it, to which he smiled and told me, “Well, self-proclaimed, certainly.” Self-proclaimed no more. Wade Barrett, you are sexy. So much so that I forgot to ask him how his arm was doing. Whoops!
Photo booth time! Derrick Bateman and Maxine were right next door and @JCollis87’s idea for a ‘fun photo’ with them set an entire trend for us at photoshoots that would carry on through the rest of the weekend. I personally thought Maxine was gorgeous and went on to tell her so when she told me that I was gorgeous. (Psh, I blushed). But we didn’t want Derrick to feel left out so I told him that his curls were magnificent! Maxine then jumps in with a “Yeah! They are right? You should pull on ‘em.” So Jenn and I are kind of looking back and forth and at Derrick and he’s completely game for it! Bends down between us and we just go for it. Obviously my inner HEEL was showing in that shot. But we didn’t just want to abuse the poor guy, so we proposed our original pic idea and swooned over him while Maxi looked on jealous/appalled. Too. Much. Fun. They were great about everything.
Wandered around, wandered around and spotted David Otunga, Twitter Attorney at Law and more importantly than that, his coffee cup. We would have done just a shot with that, but he wasn’t parting with it for a second. So instead we pretended to fight over it. :] Or was it pretend….
AND THEN IT WAS TIME FOR DOLPH!! This was the moment I had been waiting for. @JCollis87 and I had been plotting for weeks and weeks on ways to make Dolph fall in heart with us and we succeeded by a LONG shot. He inspired an ‘I <3 Heels’ shirt that featured himself, Miz, Del Rio, Punk, Swagger and Ricardo and Jenn was determined to get it signed. But they don’t allow autographs at the photo booths. Not a problem, I can totally cause a distraction. Mission accomplished! And got us our first ‘Wow!’ with wide eyes from Mr. Ziggles. We were the first pair to go up together and I’m not sure he was quite ready for a 2 on 1, but we were gentle with him. So he happily agreed to sign the shirt and I told him what big fans of his we were and how I’d made us matching #HEEL headbands, which he loved and got us another ‘Wow’..and showed him my animal print (manicure/pedicure) outta control which was all the more appropriate with him rocking his ‘Sexy And I Know It’ tee, and he was just full of ‘Wow’s for us. So we told him that we wanted our picture together and we went to either side of him and I stopped to ask him first if it’d be okay if we kind of went to give him a kiss and he says, “You can try.” Little did he know that I planned in line on FULLY going for it if given the chance, and as you can see…I indeed kissed Mr. Ziggles. With his bristly cheek on my lips..Happiest. Girl. Ever. So as we thank him, he points to us and tells his entire line to ‘Follow THAT’. !!!!!!!!!!!!1 WE GOT A ‘FOLLOW THAT’ FROM ZIGGLER HIMSELF. And then he thanked us again for all the love we showed him. Best moment all weekend.
Still floating around on my ‘I kissed a HEEL and I liked it’ high, we ended the night with Johnny Curtis, who we realized is totally what we now call ‘Curt Hawkins Hot’. Beautiful blue eyes that guy. And a really nice, smile, too. He kind of caught me off guard so I just blurted out, “…You look really good” at him. lol He dug it though! And then told me with a laugh after I asked that he did in fact drive his van to the signing and it was parked out back. And I know he didn’t, but I just love that he went along with it anyway. <3
My WrestleMania Part I - AXXESS Day 2
HELLO, JIMMY AND JEY USO. My sister and I have had a huge crush on these beautiful boys since a ‘Before They Were Superstars’ special on their dad yeeears ago, so stopping to see them was a must for me. I kind of unintentionally dissed Rikishi for his boys, but once I explained the crush thing, he totally understood. Jey (in white) is my personal favorite, but Jimmy (in orange) is definitely the flirt of the two. Oooh that boy could make me swoon and had I little bit more time, I’m pretty sure I could have gotten a date with at least one of them. But the smiles on the both? To die for. They definitely made my morning and next year? I’m getting that date.
Hit up the Legends booth next so my BB could meet good ol’ JR and this one was kind of a treat, believe it or not mostly due to Gerry Brisco! He was as giddy as a kid on Christmas the entire time and looked like he was just having the time of his life meeting fans. It’s ALWAYS such a good thing to see.
Swung around Randy’s VIP while we were back there and even from a distance, that man is gorgeous.
Then we decided to hit up one of the photo booths where we met up with Alex Riley. I often doubt if anyone other than me noticed that when he and Miz were a team, they would quote Drake lyrics. Well this played right into things for us since Mr. Riley was wearing sunglasses indoors. @JCollis87 dared me to ask him if he was ‘Fancy Huh’, as if I wouldn’t actually do it after everything else she’d heard me say so far that weekend to wrestlers. So our convo went a little something like:
Me: So my friend dared me to say this to you, because you’re wearing sunglasses inside but, you fancy, huh? (this was said with my most serious face, too)
A-Ry: (with a lean back to look at me) Oh, are YOU fancy, huh?
Me: Yeah. Nails done, hair done (featuring Lucky Cupcake Hairclips!), everything did.
Now if you don’t know the song, you obviously won’t get any of that, but he knows and he LOVED it! Cracked right up. <3 So with the ice broken I pitched our fun photo idea and told him that we wanted to kind of swoon over him, while he looked as smug as possible, as if this happens to him all the time. And voila!
After that was time for Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo!! We love our bad guys and there was no way we’d miss Berto. Swagger and Vickie were signing just before him and were taking a bit longer to wrap up and the closer we got to the front of the line, the more antsy we got for them to switch. Not that we have no love for those two, but Alberto they are not, and his line had already grown tremendously since we joined it. But we eventually got him! Ricardo was simply adorable and was super excited to sign @JCollis87’s shirt that he was featured on. And Alberto…dreamy sigh goes here. Number one, the man is as calm, cool and collected as you could possibly imagine. Just incredibly chill. And his smile? Hello! So naturally I had to tell him that he was one of the most beautiful men I had ever seen and he responded with one of those smiles and said ‘Thank you, Mami..’. (GIGGLE, ADR called me ‘Mami’). So as he signed for me I told him how beautiful said smile was and asked if I could get a real one for my picture with him and he told me ‘Of course’, but as you can see that’s not quite what I got. Always a smirk with him! But I’m not even mad. I met Alberto effin’ Del Rio.
